Wellhead Protection Plan

The City of Bovey is proactive in protecting our public water supply and well. The City began work on the Wellhead Protection Plan in 2007 and with the help of the Minnesota Department of Health the plan was adopted in 2011.

The plan is updated every 10 years and the City received final approval for the updated plan from the Minnesota Department of Health on January 19, 2023 The plan includes information about the City well and identifies possible contamination sources and action steps to be taken to work towards keeping our drinking water safe.
